Larger Than Life
The client’s passion for cooking, wine and love of entertaining was the sole purpose of transforming this kitchen into the spacious gem it has become. It was important that the interior layout linked the kitchen, dining and living area to create a genuine flow between original and new. Function was extremely important as the client enjoys catering for large groups and of course wow factor was a must!
This striking design was challenged by a large curved wall at one end of the space. The custom-made cabinets were meticulously engineered to follow the walls curvature. The island bench adjacent mimics this curve. Black glass mosaic tiles embrace the curve and create a transition to the large black mirror that sits and reflects the open plan living space behind the industrial ovens and cook top.
This larger than life kitchen houses the best of the best in appliances and finishes. It is separated into three main zones to create an ease of flow and functionality. In the CLEANING ZONE Stainless steel was used to ensure a seamless surface area for ease of cleaning and hygiene. In the COOKING & PREPERATION ZONE Granite was used as it is almost a bullet proof surface and perfect for pastry making and meal preparation. The ENTERTAINMENT ZONE features a raised timber bench with a glass top to tie in the flooring and create some more wow factor.
Luxury was of huge importance to the client so it was for this reason that Blum Electronic Servo drive was used throughout this renovation. Hidden kicker drawers, custom cut drawer liners throughout and glass sided inner drawers ensured maximum storage, Black carcasses added a point of difference and feature lighting help contribute to the mood and over aesthetic of the space.
This design takes opulence to a new level and is an entertainers dream. This kitchen is a show stopper!Back to Kitchens Portfolio
