The new extension to this young family’s suburban home was to be one of simple modern elegance and practicality. The kitchen was relocated to the new back extension to create an open plan living and dining area that is now the heart of the house where family and friends gather.
The clean crisp whites and soft textural grey pallet give the space a modern yet classic feel. It was vital that the space that was created was warm and inviting and complimented and connected the other living areas.The Feature marble look stone benchtop creates a striking focal point when entering the room and the black mirror splashback reflect the surroundings bringing the entire living space in to this design.
Generous storage and bench space was imperative for this family as they share a love of cooking and entertaining. A butlers pantry is hidden behind tall doors giving the kitchen a seamless appearance yet concealing a second preparation area and substantial cabinetry. The large island allows opportunity for cooking, serving, casual seating and a general congregation point.
